Greetings Players, Parents and Fans,
October has arrived! I am eagerly anticipating the first practice of the season on Wednesday, October 19. Earlier this week, players in the JV and Varsity class period participated in the Haltom Cross Country Meet. It was quite a sight to see the basketball team participating with the cross country team and we had two players place in the top 20.
Expectations are high on all levels following the success of last season. Players are competing and working hard on the court and in the weight room. We have set goals of returning to the playoffs, and improving our record of 24-11 from last season. These goals are reiterated daily and the teams are preparing to meet this challenge. Academically, we have set goals for the A and B Honor Rolls as well. The excitement of basketball season is in the air! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you fill the stands in November.
